I wanted to love this place more than I did.
French toast was the ⭐️ . It soaked up alll the maple syrup and melted butter into its beautiful custardy interior — legit melted in my mouth and i was v close to happy dance after first bite. Would have been perfect if the exterior was a bit more crisp. Also I know you’re supposed to dry out the challah a bit so that it absorbs more custard but that’s no excuse for a dry crust .. or maybe it is
Avocado toast was mid. Sourdough could hardly qualify as sourdough. Avocado spread was toooo salty. The best part was the dressing on the side salad 😪
Don’t get the cappuccino. Unless you like it acidic and burnt 🥲
I don’t normally give extra points for ambiance but something about all the natural lighting and the simple table setup made it so peaceful and homey 🥰 i will say the tables were a bit close to one another. So if you’re spilling tea, know that you’re putting on a show for your two neighboring tables 🍿
