Last time I tried to come, the wait was 2 hours so I opted for a restaurant next door. This time I came prepared and brought entertainment for the inevitable hour+ wait 🫡
The oyster soup was so comforting. A bit on the fishier side, but also light and umami.
I LOVE perilla (think a mix of licorice and thai basil) so was really happy with how the fresh perilla profile balanced the slightly creamier soup base. I think they made their tofu in-house … is it bad that I wish the tofu was silken 🙈 otherwise flavor of everything I tried was pretty perfect. I resisted the urge to do a happy clap when I tried the cod roe omelette. Loveee the salty kick that the roe adds. Everything about this place screams cozy comfort food.
