A bit hit or miss. We ordered 4 small plates and 2 drinks. Here’s the tldr: the chili shrimp salt wings and lai dac thom (jasmine green tea with pineapple and lime) were both standouts. I loved the umami and crisp from the wings, although they were slightly overcooked. With the tea being a refreshing balance of herbal and fruity. However, I was a bit let down by the bò lá lôt (wagyu wrapped in betal leaf) dâu hũ lăc sa tăc (crispy tofu) and bánh bèo huê (steamed rice cakes either shrimp + pork). The wagyu dish seemed gimmicky, as it was not as fatty and tender as I would’ve expected from wagyu. It also tasted dense and overpowering the seasoning & added herbs. On the other hand, the crispy tofu was mostly good but lacking in the kumquat taste it alleged to have. Lastly, the rice cakes tasted flat due to a lack of chilis in the sauce.
